Blurb :
4.6 billion years of constant planetary changes.
And then the birth of primitive cells: from the development of Archaea, Bacteria and Eukarya to the phylogenetic branching of Invertebrates, weirdly shaped reptiles, Dinosaurs and the ecologically niche-driven mammals. Earth had been chasing after a God-formula to rectify life and to bring balance in its ecosystems by continually changing its environmental mood until it accidently evolved Homo sapiens to provide therapy. Perhaps, this accelerated an irrecoverable loss.
Our race currently stands above all. Above God! But God is everywhere. God is invisible to the human eye and God is all-biblical. God is tiny. Yet God is a killer. So how do we stop these tiny acclamations of Godly beings from becoming the Devil?
Answers to: How can pandemics erupt again as the human population grows more than 10 billion by 2100? With human population surges, how will human consumption rates increase? With the growing consumer industry, how many new unbuyable islands will emerge in the oceans? With the rise of human population, how would the livestock industry contribute to the rise in warm temperatures? As these happen, how much will terrestrial forests shrink? With increasing consumers around the world, how would viruses help achieve fatal zoonotic diseases just like their previous counterparts from Influenza, HIV, Ebola, Marburg and many more, all killing thousands of millions around the globe? As diseases keep infecting and killing at least 20 to 30 million people each year, how will the pharma industry boost? With boost in drug sales, how many drug scandals would be exposed? While all of this is happening, how would the current Holocene extinction rates jump from 1,000 to 10,000 fold before you can even think of saving lives?
We don’t need nuclear weapons to kill us anymore. There is so much unknown poison in the air, land and water for overkill and probably on your finger tips, you’re not aware of.
Review:
Very Interesting and hard hitting realistic thoughts on our own current pandemic crisis.
This book contain some much needed reflection on the strange situations we find ourselves due to our faults and greed. I love the ideas behind the book and to large extent I subscribe to them. This book is a collection of 20 essays that touch on the things we faced or came across during this pandemic. I enjoyed all 20 essays but the marketing mind and the material world is my favourite. The covid 19 pandemic only made it clear that change is a soul crucial but many power grabbing eyes destroy any attempt of such changes. Overall a great book. Highly recommend.
