Review :

There are some books in your bookshelves which you can read many times and every time you read you will new ideas which will motivate and provoke your thoughts in good sense. There are 101 chapters. Few chapters are very good, really great to read, the only problem of this is writer emphasized on the things that needn't be given that importance. This book shows that having desire can only help you achieve your goal. Monitor and guide your thoughts and you will get anywhere you want. This book makes you think because Robin sharma put things in his terms through his own philosphy.

Definitely worth your time.

“He had tremendous hunger to achieve academic excellence and contribute something to society in his short life span. He never behaved as if his life was going to end soon; crippled body but resolve of steel! The complexity of disability could not touch him even from a distance.”
This is a tale about an extraordinary individual, Sumit, who fought bravely till his last breath. It is often rare to come across resilient souls, persevering in doing their best at whatever reality throws at them. One could ask that how a boy, suffering from a rare disease, even dream of reaching institutes of eminence and compete with the best students in the country? How could he have maintained his cool knowing that his end was near? He might have ultimately left us but his refreshing attitude towards life lives on. He was indeed, a true Karmayogi!
Review:
Wonderfully rich and well realised account. It is meaningful, profound and refreshingly different. This is one the best book I have ever read. Sumit Shekhar has an undying passion and urge to simply things. Sumit who diagnosed with rare genetic disorder Duchenne muscular dystrophy with his grit , unrelenting force of action achieved many things and serve the society. It was a surprise to find out how deep and thoughtful can be man. There are plenty of good things that can be drawn from this book.
I will visit this book later again, I know.

Based on what has been said by the greatest psychologists of our time, this book tells the reader what is the concept of romantic love and how to be in a relationship without getting hurt. It is about how to further strengthen a healthy relationship and how to get out of a toxic relationship. The choice that life offers is whether one wants ten superficial, meaningless relationships, or one great relationship that lasts a lifetime. Here are some of the quotes from the book.

“A day spent in understanding your partner will pay you much bigger dividends than a year spent around the world trying to find yourself.”

“You can give ten years of your life to an adorable fool, but you should not waste a minute on a mean scoundrel.”

Review :

Extraordinary. Read this. It does not matter of you are single, in a serious relationship, dating, casually or entirely disinterested in any sort of romantic entanglement. This is one of the most insightful books I have ever read. To learn to love and appreciate the ordinary and base our human love on the strong and solid foundation of friendship and commitment. Sincerely, I believe my relationship will be much improved because of the things I learned from Dr. Govind Sharma's analysis. Additionally I think it is a great resource for guidance along one's path to transcendence. The language of the book is simple and easy to understand and cover and title of the book is apt to the content of the book. A must read book. If I could give this book more than five star I definitely would.

Pinto is a middle level officer in the Internal Security Agency, or ISA who discovers, through a series of episodic experiences that the template for catching spies is not the gun toting flamboyance of James Bond. Nor, for that matter, is it the dull grey world of Smiley’s People. Much of it is patient pursuit and back end planning lit by the occasional flash of brilliance. Yet, even if there are no adrenaline spikes and meetings in the shadows of the gloaming; Pinto enjoys his job with the all the mental challenges and the perseverance it requires. Like in any other government department, Pinto too has to deal with failing room coolers, an aging car and the quirks of officialdom; but there is a professional core in the organization that, with good humour, sensitivity and patience, is able to carry the day. The book also has side stories that, though occasionally anecdotal, paint Pinto’s life in vibrant colours.
Review :
A profound book, that surpassed all my expectations. A hell of a ride from the first page till the last word. The story revolve around the working life of ISA (internal security agency ) officer Pinto. Each pages make you think and in places, re read just to make sure, you know what's happening but it is written very well and that's what counts. On the surface the story is pretty basic and easy to follow but deep within this novel, there is so much more going on. The way the story is presented what is revealed what is held back and the sequence of revelation is superb. The author uses his experience and does not let the illusion ever crumble. A must read book. Highly recommend.

IT killed Capitalism

IT Killed Capitalism
Thank You Mr.Gates

Author : J Prakash

Rating : 4/5 Stars

Blurb :“Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone.”
― John Maynard Keynes

Thus spoke Keynes. The context made him concede that at least for another 100 years we have to accept ‘Foul’ is fair and ‘Fair’ is useless. He said this in 1930. We are close to the end of those 100 years, so `Foul’ and `Fair’ must take their rightful positions in the dictionary. A handful of the super-rich in the world, the wickedest of men who, using crafty narratives, managed to do the wickedest things and exploit the whole of humanity, managed to keep the vast majority of people in abject poverty. However, due to their bad luck or maybe some sorcery played by Keynes, the rich got excessively greedy and that turned them into Basmasuras. Lord Vishnu, like he took the form of Mohini to burn and destroy Basmasura, took the form of Information Technology (IT) to burn and destroy the super-rich, which he achieved by the year 2015. It may be a different matter if some of the modern Basmasuras still think they can be active. Passage of time will put them in their place.

No one knows what shape the new world will take. In this book, based on a logical projection of what exists today, I have given my prognosis, in the concluding chapter, of what the new world will look like. My crystal ball says that it will be a beautiful world. Thathastu!
Review :
The book is a collection of essays that critique the performance of Capitalism in the years preceding the run up to the economy crisis. The book essays engage the discussion about basic structural changes and systemic alternatives needed to fix the IT sector. The author strengths are his plain spoken style and his ability to breakdown difficult economic topics that are easy for layman to understand. The language of the book is simple and easy to read. The cover and title of the book is apt to the content of the book. Over all a very good book.

What After COVID-19?

What After COVID-19?

4.6 billion years of constant planetary changes.
And then the birth of primitive cells: from the development of Archaea, Bacteria and Eukarya to the phylogenetic branching of Invertebrates, weirdly shaped reptiles, Dinosaurs and the ecologically niche-driven mammals. Earth had been chasing after a God-formula to rectify life and to bring balance in its ecosystems by continually changing its environmental mood until it accidently evolved Homo sapiens to provide therapy. Perhaps, this accelerated an irrecoverable loss.
Our race currently stands above all. Above God! But God is everywhere. God is invisible to the human eye and God is all-biblical. God is tiny. Yet God is a killer. So how do we stop these tiny acclamations of Godly beings from becoming the Devil?
Answers to: How can pandemics erupt again as the human population grows more than 10 billion by 2100? With human population surges, how will human consumption rates increase? With the growing consumer industry, how many new unbuyable islands will emerge in the oceans? With the rise of human population, how would the livestock industry contribute to the rise in warm temperatures? As these happen, how much will terrestrial forests shrink? With increasing consumers around the world, how would viruses help achieve fatal zoonotic diseases just like their previous counterparts from Influenza, HIV, Ebola, Marburg and many more, all killing thousands of millions around the globe? As diseases keep infecting and killing at least 20 to 30 million people each year, how will the pharma industry boost? With boost in drug sales, how many drug scandals would be exposed? While all of this is happening, how would the current Holocene extinction rates jump from 1,000 to 10,000 fold before you can even think of saving lives?
We don’t need nuclear weapons to kill us anymore. There is so much unknown poison in the air, land and water for overkill and probably on your finger tips, you’re not aware of.
Review:
Very Interesting and hard hitting realistic thoughts on our own current pandemic crisis.
This book contain some much needed reflection on the strange situations we find ourselves due to our faults and greed. I love the ideas behind the book and to large extent I subscribe to them. This book is a collection of 20 essays that touch on the things we faced or came across during this pandemic. I enjoyed all 20 essays but the marketing mind and the material world is my favourite. The covid 19 pandemic only made it clear that change is a soul crucial but many power grabbing eyes destroy any attempt of such changes. Overall a great book. Highly recommend.

Reinvention

Reinvention

Author : Natasha Malpani Oswal
Publisher : Bloomsbury
Pages : 89
Price : 399/- INR
Format : Paperback (Hard Cover)
Buy : Amazon/Flipkart
Rating : 5/5 Stars

As the world around us transpose: shifts rapidly , Reinvention explores the darker side of growing up. Can we preserve our identity, while building a family? What sacrifices do we have to make for success? Can we have it all- and keep it?

Natasha wrote Reinvention after moving back to India after ten years. Natasha's first collection of poems, Boundless captured her search for her own identity, as she experimented with geographies, and built her career. With Reinvention, written after her return to India after a decade-long stint overseas she attempts to reconnect with her roots.

If Boundless was about finding your voice, then Reinvention is about making it heard. The sharpness and honesty of the poems will resonate with you long after you've read them. Especially, now, in a post-pandemic world, where change is the only constant.
Review :
Every single poem was breath taking. I took my time reading this, choosing the savor the succulent, vivid, tactile words. Spanning over 89 pages. Each line is a feeling. Natasha Malpani Oswal is one of my favourite poets. She writes simple lines and paint beautiful pictures. The language of the book simple. The cover of the book is beautiful same like the poems. The book is divided into 9 chapters.
Freedom
Driven
Sparkle
Princess
Settle
Restless
Longings
Ripe
Ties
All the poems are deceptively simple and absolutely beautiful. Read it in one sitting which I will definitely do again. Highly recommend.
