Most urban couples today experience some amount of chaos in their interpersonal relationships— whether it be in the struggle to keep the erotic spark alive, trying to balance between the need for intimacy and personal space or in handling the new-age demon called boredom! Long-established patterns of married life are breaking down in a new India where gender equality and individualism have blurred the domestic division of labour and leadership, often resulting in ego clashes between partners. Technological advancements such as birth control, IVF, paternity tests etc., open up options but bring along accompanying complications. It is the same with the Internet and social media. Old rules of couple relationship—both explicit and implicit—do not fit well anymore; new rules are still not in place. In such a scenario, this book seeks to understand the little equations that go to make up a long-term relationship, thereby throwing light on the steps that, if not well managed, lead to chaos for both partners. Some of the questions addressed here are: Why do we feel the need to guard our partner’s sexuality? Why does boredom set in, in most long-term relationships? Why do affairs begin and is it really about sex or love at all? And many more such, that deal with the nitty-gritty of day-to-day sharing of the physical, emotional and sexual space between couples. By the end of this book, you may just revisit all that you have been taking for granted!

Review :
An incredible well written and readable book. This book was such a great read I could not put it down. Author Raksha Bharadia  covered the topic of Romance, Sexuality and Fidelity in depth and her research is simply fascinating. Author takes the reader on an interesting narrative journey. What I personally gained most was an opportunity to reflect on something typically taken for granted what can reasonably be expected to ourselves and our partners in our relationship and the importance of communicating on a subject that is typically left unspoken and forbidden. The coverpage and title of the book is apt to the content of the book. The language of the book is simple and easy to understand. I realise that many people will only read the first and last paragraph of a review, so read this for yourself and make your mind up. What you might find is, if you are willing to accept it, that you may start noticing some of the practices unfold in your own life Or some even reflect similarities of some of the anecdote with your own experience. Highly recommend.

Review :
I read The Sinners over a weekend and for the last 50 or so pages could not put it down. The author creates an immersive, cinematic world, inhabiting a series of characters in a way that feels deeply candid and real. It is excellent thriller but it is the internal monologue of each characters that drew me in the most. The book revolves around Vikram Oberoi  (The Boss). The story revolves around corporate office involving everyone of the office. Author Sourabh Mukherjee has done a great job here. The book is very gripping and writing is flawless. Well  absolutely love the colourfully cover page title of the book is apt to the story and compell you to pick it up. The characters are all wonderful and flawed in various interesting ways. Language of the book is simple and easy to understand. Well written and quick read book. Definitely worth picking up. God decides to visit the Earth disguised as a regular man and holds (among other terrestrial activities) inquisitive dialogues with religious personalities (catholic priest, evangelist pastor, agnostic philosopher, Buddhist and Islam representatives) The conversations deal with life conflicts, happiness and faith and explores religious questions. He selected a psychologist who will be his "close friend" and will share wit him a number of experiences, some of them displaying humorous situations. Some chapters deal with God taming a horse, another doing aerial acrobatics, visiting a gym where he picks up 500 Kg weight with no difficulty whatsoever and nobody ever knows that they are dealing with the Supreme. In another chapter he plays Chopin impromptu as a virtuoso and also attends an Argentine Night Club where he dances a tango as a foremost expert. After leaving the Restaurant Club He and his friends are assaulted by a band of criminal. Again, his identity remains secret except for the man (a psychologist) who shares all of these experiences with Him.The last two chapters deal with an unprecedented conversation between God and his friend and they explore questions of deep spiritual issues and values and the last chapter describes his departure which takes place with an intense emotional farewell.
Review :
This is the best book I have read in years. It required a bit of concentration at first place but once I realized what was happening I was hooked. Chats with God in underwear is a book I will refer to time and time again for inspiration a lift higher and a reality check. Author brings the God himself to earth as God ( Rogelio). He hold a dialogue with religious personalities. Buddhist , an evangelist pastor, an agnostic philosopher, a Muslim religious leaders and a Catholic priest.  The character of John is brilliantly written. The book had a great flow and energy. It was a pleasure to read. The language of the book is simple and easy to understand. The book is quick read that had me coming back for more. Some truly groundbreaking insight into the religion and humanity. I would highly recommend this fascinating piece of literature.

The Gang of Six were clinching their fists under the 21-seater oval teak table in the PMO in New Delhi. How could their Prime Minister speak to them like that? How does the Constitution of India allow such people, with just 35 seats out of 543 in the Lok Sabha, to become the PM?

The Indian PM's aircraft took off from Islamabad Airport at 7:45 am IST and was scheduled to land at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi at 9:10 am IST. When the aircraft started deviating from its scheduled route, there was panic at the IGIA air traffic control tower. By 9:15 am IST, the aircraft was seen heading south, when it became out of range of the radars at IGIA. Had the PM's aircraft been hijacked? Was it headed to Sri Lanka or the Maldives?

The defence minister, external affairs minister and the NSA had accompanied the PM to Islamabad. In their absence, the best men to contact the Indian Air Force Chief were the cabinet secretary or the defence secretary. Both men tried to get hold of him, but to no avail. He was not answering his office or mobile phone. They tried the Vice Chief and got no response either. What in hell was going on?

By 9:45 am IST, Indian Army soldiers in battle gear began arriving in army trucks at North and South Block, and at various other ministry buildings spread across Lutyens' Delhi. Hundreds of soldiers also arrived at the residences of the union ministers in the 28.7 km2 Lutyens Bungalow Zone.

At 9:45 pm Pakistan Time, about five hours after the Indian generals had finished the press conference in New Delhi and about two hours after millions had started demonstrating on roads across fifty-plus Indian cities, Prime Minister Irfan Khan chaired a meeting of Pakistan's National Security Council. A plan of action was framed.

I - SPY

I - SPY
A Peep Into The World Of Spies
Author : Amit Bagaria
Publisher : Notion Press
Pages : 450
Price : 799/-
Format : Paperback
Buy : Amazon India
Rating : 5/5 Stars
Blurb :
"The name is Bond – JAMES BOND. I am sure you’ve seen at least one, if not more of the 26 films made on fictional British spy 007. You may’ve also seen TV shows like The Americans, Blindspot, Chuck, Covert Affairs, Homeland, Nikita, Quantico, The Blacklist, and/or The Night Manager. I wrote this book after I realised that the average person may not know even one-sixth of what I know about spies and spying.
Almost each of the Top 50 nations (by GDP, population or military power) has a spy agency/service. Many countries have more than one ‘secret service’ or ‘intelligence agency’. USA has 16. Some countries’ spy agencies are more powerful than entire smaller nations, with annual budgets larger than their GDPs.
This books attempts to tell the story of 20 of the world’s largest and most powerful spy agencies, details their important missions, reveals their darkest secrets, and gives you an inside perspective of the often quite gory but thrilling ‘world of spies’. It gives you a 360º view of those spy agencies you only read about or see in a movie or TV show. With one chapter per agency, you can read only chapters you may be interested in.
The life of most spies is not as glamorous as it is made out to be. You may think it is all about high-tech and guns and car chases and ‘hot’ women, but that’s not the case. In the real spy world, the techniques boil down to the interpretation of basic human psychology. Even though a spy learns several action techniques on how to get out of a dangerous situation, including how to withstand torture, if he/she is resorting to car chases, it means they’re doing something wrong.
Spies don’t get paid very well. Gambling at a casino or flying on a private jet may be part of the job, but a spy doesn’t get to spend this kind of money on personal expenses. Spies cannot disclose the nature of their work to their family and friends, to maintain secrecy.
Review :
What an outstanding book this is. It is exceedingly well researched and we'll documented, but never dull and it manage to provide a gripping narrative throughout. Highly insightful, not only from the perspective of actual spycraft but invaluable to get an inside picture of 20 of the world's largest and most powerful spy agencies. Incredible ( in the best sense of the world), unlikely and yet evidently true. The book cover is perfect and the book is super interesting too for those who are into the world of espionage. The title of the book is apt to the  content and compel you to pick it up. The language of the book is simple and easy to understand. This book did everything a good book is supposed to do. It engages me, evoked emotional response, and left me wanting for more. A must read.

USAma

USAma
Is USA The World's Largest Terrorist ?
Author : Amit Bagaria
Publisher : Notion Press
Pages : 438
Price : 599/-
Format : Paperback
Buy : Amazon India
Rating : 5/5 Stars
Blurb :
No! This is not a book about Usama bin Laden, even though he was a global terrorist.
In this spine-chilling new book – his tenth in just a year’s time – Amit Bagaria takes us through an extraordinary journey of detailed accounts about illegal/immoral acts (most of which are unknown to the average reader) carried out by the United States of America (USofA) against 81 sovereign nations. He tries to show us how, in one way or the other, with sheer money and/or muscle power, the Unjust Satan of America (USofA), as he calls it, has bullied its way to global dominance – interfering in our day to day lives, working perhaps for the benefit of only the Military Industrial Complex – which he describes in detail in the first chapter.
“USAma” is a term Bagaria has coined to describe USA. Either through drones, or airstrikes (dropping missiles or bombs from planes), or through full-scale military invasions, “USAma” has created havoc in more than half the world, he says. In other countries, different types of weapons have been used – from porn films to poison, from blackmailing to torture, from fake news to fake public protests – all through CIA.
Bagaria says that the most unfortunate part is that even the most educated amongst us have been made to believe that USA is justified – as the global policeman – in helping weaker nations fight evil, whether in the form of Communism, or Islamism. This is despite the fact that, to serve its own selfish purposes, USA has supported some of the most brutal dictators, helped in the advent or establishment of Islamic Republics, and has even supported Communist regimes in some cases. THAT is the power of American propaganda.
Review :
An excellent book, meticulously documented and precisely supported with references and footnotes. An absolutely eye opening of US policies that is a must read if you are seeking to make sense of what is happening and why. Needless to say this book is full of facts. Author Amit Bagaria has done a great job here. The book is well researched. I give this book 5 stars. It is an easy read and a page turner. If you read it well you will want to take time to stop and reflect and even jolt down notes to yourself. Outstanding book. The Title and cover page of the book is apt to the content. This book should come with a warning label because it explains everything. You will understand why the world is the way it is. Why there is suffering and war and the unexplainable is explained. A must read . Highly recommend.

I do not give five star review very often, because in my mind a 5star book has to be not only entertaining funny and heart wrenching, but it also has to have a powerful message and for lack of better term be life changing. Close to the bone is beautiful memoir with a wonderful message and deserve to be widely read. There are some moments throughout in the book that provide great perspective. Rating : 5/5 Stars
Blurb : The four and a half hours read changed my views about many things spoon-fed into our mind from childhood days. The book, as the name suggests, demythsified many myths with concise but great insights about many leaders and important events in history about which we were taught half-truths to make someone look better. Not only it answers many inconvenient questions but will also make you ponder about many things like the problem with India's electoral system and the mysterious deaths in Indian political history. A must-read book to know about the real Indian politics, History books are full of lies. I being so much involved in reading about politics didn't know many things. The book is very well researched and all the important topics are covered. Great insights. Really loved it!

This masterclass from Amit Bagaria provides a refreshing and new perspective on the most important and game changing events in India's past. It makes you stop, think about and question everything you've learned through the years. This book gives one insight into an alternate reality than the one we've been fed through our school history books, the media and politicians - from little known facts about Gandhi to the astonishing ineffectiveness of our parliamentary governance and electoral systems. It's definitely an eye opener and a must read for anyone that wishes to have a holistic picture of our nation and its real history.

The absolute truth! In the case of most Indians, a lot of unquestionable information has been drilled into us and we have been forbidden to question the same. If ever, there was an alternate thought, it was hushed up saying ..".but that is not what History says." However, this book has brought all those thoughts and questions to the surface. It makes me wonder if we are really the people who need to be told the contradictory point, even though our minds nudge us to believe otherwise. This book has dealt with various issues and has smacked the Indian political world on its bottom. It helps lift the veil of questions that have been unanswered for so long. The author has done in-depth research on separating fact from fiction and that is commendable in the India of today. It is a very well written book and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is willing to take a breath of fresh air in this tamasha-heavy Indian policical circus.

Review :
It maybe not a stretch to say this book blew my mind and in the best possible way. It is well written, wry and incisive a subject I mostly avoid and loathe, something I could grasp. Author Amit Bagaria has done a great job here. He wrote about various sensitive issues like UN seats, Hindu law , chacha nehru, etc.
Is this book written to make a point? You bet! Call it propaganda. I don't care. The book contain 18 chapters. The author back his allegations with facts that too with strong and conclusive evidence. It is painful to read and understand that everything we know about our prominent leader through history book over all year post independence is fabricated. A must read book. Highly recommend !

People who are looking for a light read with easy language can definitely give it a try. The simple language and awesome narration makes this book a great read.
Author Dr.Govind Sharma has done a tremendous job here, writing about such a sensitive topic that too in a story form is simply awesome. This book deals with heavy subject matter and it does so with heart.

Year 2013! He was educated and was a believer in everything that had a scientifically proven explanation. Sudhir, after constant failures on his part which led to an unwanted divorce, was thrust by a strange twist of faith on an isolated island. He gained unfathomable power, which had no scientific explanation.

He was not a politician, and yet, he was forced to pit his mind against a globally powerful nation, and that nation was guided by a man whose magical powers far exceeded that of his own.

His school curriculum never taught him to fight with a sword, nor travel time.

Yet, here he was, travelling back in time to unravel a mystery that harassed a royal family.

Here he was again, somehow managing to ward off ruthless, bloodthirsty, sword-wielding pirates with his own clumsily held sword!

To protect himself from dying? Obviously, yes!

But, also to protect the fabulous wealth of gold, silver, rubies, diamonds and so much more that were lost in the seven ships around the year 1782.
Review :
Sometime when people keep recommending a book you should listen and read the book. Those Forgotten People is such a book. This was my bedtime book for a while. The plot is mesmerizing and the story telling of the central character Sudhir is unparallel. I don't want to reveal much. The author Aniruddha Roy Choudhury jumps from time period to time period, character to character in a flawless manner. The imagery is astounding. Book was a easy read and yet gave me room to pause as I stopped to think. The cover page and title of the book is apt to the story. Thoroughly enjoyed the journey this book takes you on. A must read book. Highly recommend.

Review :
The author has the amazing ability to look at the real issues.
Even though this book is aimed at teens. It is a very good book that actually deals with a lot of things that teenagers and even adults struggle with. Teen age is the age of immaturity so many of them like Aakash and Aarti follow the wrong ways like drugs and affairs. The author Dr.Govind Sharma writes characters you feel and root for in the book. Though the title and cover is not that unique, blurb of the book compel you to pick it up. Language of the book is simple and easy to read. Overall I liked this book. How much do we know about the valorous saga of our ancestors from the east to west, north to south of Bharat? Unfortunately very little! Were we always defeated? It is a BIG No! But we have been projected as losers! During the last 1300 years, our ancestors across the country put up a brave resistance against invaders, first against Islamic invasion and rule and later the British. Hundreds and thousands of our warriors won battles and many fought until their last breath defending the motherland.
Indian History text books have hardly glorified these real warriors of the soil. We have grown up reading more about the glories of our invaders. A nation’s citizens, who are ignorant about the brave feats of their ancestors, tend to deviate away from their roots, historicity, and their sense of belongingness for the motherland. Saffron Swords that contains 52 tales of valor, is a tribute to the unsung warriors of India, both men and women, from the last 1300 years. This book is the first in its series.
Review :
Exceptional stories of heroism and courage !!
I don't have adequate words to praise this book well enough. This book is a collection accounts of extraordinary people  who laid down their lives for our country. The book is well researched and kudos to the author for writing on extraordinary people and freedom fighters of India who are lost in Oblivion.  The book is fast paced and easy to read. Cover page and title of the book compel you to pick it up . This is rarity among books. Book is clearly and engagingly written.A must have book on your bookshelf. Highly recommend.

On the trail of Ganesha, the Afro-Asian calf, born by a quirk of fate and in the most improbable of circumstances in the wilds of East Africa in 1943. Then begins his journey to the Southern wilds of India and his fight for survival in those new wilds.
Born on the same day as Ganesha in a rural hamlet of Southern India is Maari, who goes on to become one of the most dreaded poachers India has ever known.
And know how their fates inevitably cross over the decades during which there are profound changes in both the political and ecological landscape of India.
Review :
This is my first book where protagonist and antagonist both are animals. The story is told from Ganesha's perspective.  Who happens to be an elephant. This story is a bitter sweet sentimental to the extreme and almost childlike in it's simplicity. What i really like about the DR SYD K writing is you could really get the feel of the characters being that they are elephant. Ganesha an Afro- Asian elephant. Who was born in Africa and transported to India as all the members of his herd died. Met  one-eyed and Dundubhi in India. I don't want to reveal much about the story. Read the book to unlock the story. The language of the book is simple. Cover page and title is apt to the story. This is a powerful book with many messages. A must read. Highly recommend.

Silver Hair Sins

Price : 249/- INR
Buy : Amazon India
Rating : 4/5 Stars
Blurb :
Silver Hair Sins is one of India’s first visual-fiction, with more than half of the thriller narrated by cinematized photographs.
It is set in the future, at a time when religio-politico divide reaches its tipping point, and technology steps in to save humanity. An Artificial Intelligence (AI) merges All Religions to create One God AI.
BUT, WHAT IF THIS GOD AI IS MISGUIDED?
This gripping story is of a family – Mary, Azad and Aasma – as they grapple to survive the dystopian world of Murder, Manipulation, Sacrifice and Love.
Silver Hair Sins is a stark social commentary about today where aspects of religion are being selectively chosen by political and religious leaders, only to create and then exploit our differences.
SO, HOW DO WE EXPOSE THIS DARKNESS?
We need an excuse to flare an unsensational debate on Fanaticism, Intolerance, Apathy, Patriarchy and Hypocrisy, in our drawing rooms and cafeterias. Silver Hair Sins begs to be that very excuse.
Review :
An excellent read, thought provoking and insightful.Absolutely loved reading and leafing thru this book. Anyone who loves sci-fi will totally loved this book. The real beauty of this book are illustrations and unique storyline. I can't say much without giving the plot away, but this is a very very strange story expertly told without a single wasted word. The story revolves around Akbar , Meera , Azad , Aasma and Mary. Set in near future.Sinners were divided and they were controlled by the silver chips placed in their body which runs on AI ( Artificial Intelligence) CROSP ( Criminal Reform one silver Programme). The book takes a dig at issues and problems exist in society.( religion, caste,  gender inequality etc.).The cover of the book compel you to pick it up. Title is apt to the story. Language of the book is simple and easy to understand. Definitely a good summer afternoon read.
Highly recommend.
