A Useful Death
Aspiring actress Priya is dead. It’s a suicide, and rumour has it that Anil, son of politician and former Telugu-movie superstar Mohan Krishna, drove her to it. Just another film-industry scandal? Or something bigger, much bigger?
Partha, hired by Mohan Krishna’s family to handle the crisis, thinks so. Why won’t such a powerful father defend his son, Partha wonders. Is there an intra-family war? Whose interests are playing out in the media and on social media? Is a political game afoot or is this all connected to Mohan Krishna’s own dubious past? And why are student unions getting involved?
Even as Partha and his associates, Seema and Harish, confront the ethics of being involved in a war with no heroes, they are drawn into a dangerous hunt. They must negotiate a tangled and vicious world to answer one question: a young woman is dead—to whom is her death useful?
Review :
This was a fabulous read with a great storyline and fantastic characters. I love crime thrillers and this was no exception. I will definitely read more from the author. I really enjoyed the story with lots of action that move right along. Author Sriram Chellapilla tells a good story here with strong sense of place and centrality of landscape and pursuit of dependent on landscape of plot. Characters are well developed (Mohan Krishnan , Partha ). The language of the book is simple . The cover page and title of the book compel you to pick it up. Definitely a good solid read. Highly recommend.

"The name is Bond – JAMES BOND. I am sure you’ve seen at least one, if not more of the 26 films made on fictional British spy 007. You may’ve also seen TV shows like The Americans, Blindspot, Chuck, Covert Affairs, Homeland, Nikita, Quantico, The Blacklist, and/or The Night Manager. I wrote this book after I realised that the average person may not know even one-sixth of what I know about spies and spying.
What an outstanding book this is. It is exceedingly well researched and we'll documented, but never dull and it manage to provide a gripping narrative throughout. Highly insightful, not only from the perspective of actual spycraft but invaluable to get an inside picture of 20 of the world's largest and most powerful spy agencies. Incredible ( in the best sense of the world), unlikely and yet evidently true. The book cover is perfect and the book is super interesting too for those who are into the world of espionage. The title of the book is apt to the content and compel you to pick it up. The language of the book is simple and easy to understand. This book did everything a good book is supposed to do. It engages me, evoked emotional response, and left me wanting for more. A must read.

No! This is not a book about Usama bin Laden, even though he was a global terrorist.
An excellent book, meticulously documented and precisely supported with references and footnotes. An absolutely eye opening of US policies that is a must read if you are seeking to make sense of what is happening and why. Needless to say this book is full of facts. Author Amit Bagaria has done a great job here. The book is well researched. I give this book 5 stars. It is an easy read and a page turner. If you read it well you will want to take time to stop and reflect and even jolt down notes to yourself. Outstanding book. The Title and cover page of the book is apt to the content. This book should come with a warning label because it explains everything. You will understand why the world is the way it is. Why there is suffering and war and the unexplainable is explained. A must read . Highly recommend.

'How fortunate it is when life alters you without warning.' One of India's first supermodels. Actor. Cancer survivor. Mother of twins through surrogacy. Woman of no fixed address. This is the story of Lisa Ray. An unflinching, deeply moving account of her nomadic existence: her entry into the Indian entertainment industry at sixteen; her relationship with her Bengali father and Polish mother; life on the movie sets and her brush with the Oscars; her battle with eating disorders; being diagnosed with multiple myeloma at thirty-seven; her spiritual quest; lovers and traitors, mentors and dream-makers; and the heartaches and triumphs along the way. It is also about Lisa's quest for love. Funny, charming, and gut-wrenchingly honest all at once, Close to the Bone is Lisa Ray's brave and inspiring story of a life lived on her terms.
I do not give five star review very often, because in my mind a 5star book has to be not only entertaining funny and heart wrenching, but it also has to have a powerful message and for lack of better term be life changing. Close to the bone is beautiful memoir with a wonderful message and deserve to be widely read. There are some moments throughout in the book that provide great perspective. I was encouraged by her strength and courage. I found this book both fascinating and Ultimately uplifting. The language of the book is simple. The title and cover of the book is apt to the content and compel you to pick it up.Well written and honest, this is the book that can find a place on any shelf. Highly recommend.

Review :
A well written , well plotted and extremely well told book. Alumni Of The Year is gripping read. The characters and their response and action are believable and engaging. Nice character development. With the author engendering the right level of trust in each character as the story progress. The story revolve around Dave who is ambitious and sandwiched between angry boss and family. I loved how this book explored really serious topic of today's world such as family and friends and their values , existence of God. The book and it's title offer delicious hints of this book topic. The book is an eye opening read for those who are over ambitious and do not give sufficient time to family. Book is fast read and language of the book is simple. Overall a good read.

It maybe not a stretch to say this book blew my mind and in the best possible way. It is well written, wry and incisive a subject I mostly avoid and loathe, something I could grasp. Author Amit Bagaria has done a great job here. He wrote about various sensitive issues like UN seats, Hindu law , chacha nehru, etc.
Is this book written to make a point? You bet! Call it propaganda. I don't care. The book contain 18 chapters. The author back his allegations with facts that too with strong and conclusive evidence. It is painful to read and understand that everything we know about our prominent leader through history book over all year post independence is fabricated. A must read book. Highly recommend !

Narasimha is a mythical fiction book. The legends of the past have been recreated. The way author has portrayed them into the simple human being with intellectual mind is just magical. Every word used by Author Kevin Missal is relevant in delivering the story which flows quickly and yet engages the reader. The story has not deviated at any point of time from the actual mythology. The character of Prahlad , Hrinyakashyap, Prahlada brother Anuhrad and Andhaka is beautifully portrayed. Language is simple and easy to understand. Title and cover of the book compell you to pick it up. Narasimha is a wonderfull book with a great plot and a fair share of twists and turns. How much do we know about the valorous saga of our ancestors from the east to west, north to south of Bharat? Unfortunately very little! Were we always defeated? It is a BIG No! But we have been projected as losers! During the last 1300 years, our ancestors across the country put up a brave resistance against invaders, first against Islamic invasion and rule and later the British. Hundreds and thousands of our warriors won battles and many fought until their last breath defending the motherland.
Exceptional stories of heroism and courage !!
I don't have adequate words to praise this book well enough. This book is a collection accounts of extraordinary people who laid down their lives for our country. The book is well researched and kudos to the author for writing on extraordinary people and freedom fighters of India who are lost in Oblivion. The book is fast paced and easy to read. Cover page and title of the book compel you to pick it up . This is rarity among books. Book is clearly and engagingly written.A must have book on your bookshelf. Highly recommend.

Indian women are taught to put others before themselves from an early age. This book aims to change that. Boundless is a powerfully honest collection of poems that encourage a young India to find its own identity. The last ten years for the poet, Natasha Malpani Oswal, have been a journey in experimentation and self-discovery. Natasha has tried to capture her exploration of the idea of home and identity over this timeframe through these poems.

SO, HOW DO WE EXPOSE THIS DARKNESS?
We need an excuse to flare an unsensational debate on Fanaticism, Intolerance, Apathy, Patriarchy and Hypocrisy, in our drawing rooms and cafeterias. Silver Hair Sins begs to be that very excuse.
Review :
An excellent read, thought provoking and insightful.Absolutely loved reading and leafing thru this book. Anyone who loves sci-fi will totally loved this book. The real beauty of this book are illustrations and unique storyline. I can't say much without giving the plot away, but this is a very very strange story expertly told without a single wasted word. The story revolves around Akbar , Meera , Azad , Aasma and Mary. Set in near future.Sinners were divided and they were controlled by the silver chips placed in their body which runs on AI ( Artificial Intelligence) CROSP ( Criminal Reform one silver Programme). The book takes a dig at issues and problems exist in society.( religion, caste, gender inequality etc.).The cover of the book compel you to pick it up. Title is apt to the story. Language of the book is simple and easy to understand. Definitely a good summer afternoon read.
Highly recommend.
